Weekly Update
Hey there, Life Group leaders! I know you guys are 1-2+ weeks into your semester of meetings, so I wanted to loop you in on a few things:
1. Important: Our next Connect meeting will be Sunday, September 28th. And because of a building usage conflict, we’re gonna flip onto the 9:15am time slot. Note: this is a change, so plan ahead! Some of you will want to switch to attending the 2nd service at 11:00am that day. And maybe your co-leader or spouse is typically unable to join us because of serving, so maybe this time will free that up. Please join unless you’re out of town and unavailable!
2. If you were present this week for worship, you heard Mark give us some spiritual direction in light of difficult cultural division this week and tragic circumstances across our nation. It’s highly likely these topics may come up in your Life Groups this week, so I recommend that you go back to Mark’s email sent out this week for a good Scriptural foundation and really solid talking points. I would ask that you utilize these over letting these topics follow their own courses and potentially verge into unhealthy disagreement or discourse. If you lost track of Mark’s email, send me one and I can forward it back to you. Thanks leaders!
3. We are about to begin a new series next week called Multiply the Mission. It will be a study through the book of 2 Timothy. We’ll kick off on Sunday, September 21st and run through Sunday, November 2nd. If you don’t already have content plans during that time frame, we would LOVE to invite you to study through 2 Timothy with us together as a group. It will be a great experience! So consider joining us for the message notes discussion during this series – you’ll find the discussion questions through the app attached to the message each week.
4. Remember, early in the semester is a great time to log into Planning Center at https://groups.planningcenteronline.com/groups and update your group roster with who you expect will continue to attend this semester. If you have any troubles, email Danilove at dbutler@parkway.church and she can help with your roster.
