Winter Retreat
A life-changing experience for students
Middle school and high school students will experience disconnecting from the noise of the world and connecting with one another, nature, and most importantly, God. Our winter retreat this year is January 10-12.

An engaging time together
Whether it’s learning, singing, eating, or hanging out – we are intentionally crafting every part of this retreat to be engaging and purposeful for students of all ages.

Worship
We love lifting our voices in praise to Jesus through song! A portion of each session is dedicated to singing together. It's ok if you don't know the songs - still participate with us!
Teaching
Each year we have a specific theme to help our students focus in on a specific topic that we believe God is leading us to prioritize. Our speaker will prepare messages that are founded directly from the Bible to help students dive deep into God’s Word and wrestle with issues they’re facing in their life.
Activities
Throughout the retreat there will be plenty of free time for fun and games around the camp including a zip line, climbing wall, one-wheels, basketball, and large field competitions, and more! All of these are run and monitored by the trained camp staff as well as Pkwy Students leaders.

Here is a list of suggested items for all students to bring for the most enjoyable experience!
We care greatly about the safety of all those attending this retreat! We will be utilizing Hutto ISD school buses and drivers for transportation to and from Camp Tejas. Tejas is a highly reputable camp with a secure gate along with full-time staff and a safety manager on staff as well as medical equipment available for our use. In addition, we will have a highly experienced registered nurse traveling with us to help any students feeling sick or injured. Additionally, all adult student leaders attending will be priorly vetted and background checked. We also hold to a 1 leader to every 4 students ratio policy!
We take up all students’ phones to help them focus on God and make life-changing relationships over the weekend. The contacts listed below are able to be contacted with important questions regarding your student. We will give the phones back to students on the bus ride back to Parkway on Sunday, although many students prefer to just leave their phones at home altogether. We believe this is crucial to helping students fully engage during this retreat and we appreciate your partnership and trust with us!
Registered Nurse: Christiana Remus is a registered nurse who will be assisting our students with medical needs this weekend. If you need to contact her, she can be reached at 9541-+1 (512) 736.
