Nancy Derrick, MSCP, LPC-S

 

Nancy earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Louisiana College and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Mississippi College. She earned an LPC in Mississippi in 2006 and Supervision status in 2010 in Texas.

Nancy is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy and is Level 2 Brainspotting trained. She has training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and therapeutic play.

Nancy works with children, teens, and adults who need support with trauma, regulation of emotions or behaviors, parenting, and faith-related concerns.

During Nancy’s freshman year of college, she sensed a call to minister to individuals and families who are hurting or struggling. She has spent time working in private and community mental health, children’s homes, and Christian counseling. She believes that God very much wants to bring healing, connection, and blessings to His children who He deeply loves.

Nancy and her husband have 7 adult children (6 step-children and 1 adopted child). They also have amazing grandchildren and spoiled dogs. They love spending time with friends and family.
